What we do not do
This site runs no analytics, shows no ads, has no share buttons and loads no scripts from other companies. Every file comes from our own server. No cookies are set.
What your browser keeps
To remember your progress the quiz uses your browser’s local storage, on your device only. Keys starting with gtq: hold unfinished rounds, statistics, your day streak, results of the quiz of the day and your sound setting. Keys starting with vyg: hold your passport stamps, the expedition you are on, the last region and level you chose in each mode, and the day or night theme. This data is never sent to us.
How to delete it
Clear the site data for globetrotquiz.com in your browser settings, or use a private window, where nothing is kept after you close it. The quiz still works without storage; it just forgets your progress.
Server logs
As with any website, the server and the delivery network may record brief technical logs (IP address, time, requested page) to protect the service and keep it working. We never use them to build visitor profiles.
