This trip through Europe is set at Hard. The 13 questions come in three legs — Capitals (6 questions), then Name the country (4 questions), then Bigger or smaller (3 questions) — and visit 16 countries in all.
- The capitals leg alternates: 6 questions, country to capital and back again.
- In the naming leg 4 countries light up on the map and you choose each name from four.
- The size leg mixes 3 duels on people and on land.
The Hard setting is for people who know the region: no easy countries, and every wrong option sits right next to the right one.
The full route, drawn from capital to capital as the questions come, measures 21,840 km: 15 hops in all.
Tips from the window seat
- Capitals: If two cities sound right, think of which country each one belongs to.
- Name the country: Look at the coastline first: which sea a country touches rules out half the options.
- Bigger or smaller: For population, think of the big cities you know in each country.
After the landing
Finish the third leg and the expedition is stamped in your passport; the button for expedition #1014 appears right under the quiz.
