This trip through Europe is set at Hard. The 14 questions come in three legs — Find the country (6 questions), then Bigger or smaller (3 questions), then Name the country (5 questions) — and visit 17 countries in all.
- In the map leg you tap 6 countries; a miss shows the right one and how far away you were.
- The size leg is 3 area duels: which of two countries is larger?
- In the naming leg 5 countries light up on the map and you choose each name from four.
The Hard setting is for people who know the region: no easy countries, and every wrong option sits right next to the right one.
The full route, drawn from capital to capital as the questions come, measures 26,190 km: 16 hops in all.
Tips from the window seat
- Find the country: Read the distance after a miss: it tells you how close you were.
- Bigger or smaller: Do not trust the map for area: flat maps distort sizes.
- Name the country: If the close view confuses you, zoom out once and look at the whole region.
After the landing
Finish the third leg and the expedition is stamped in your passport; the button for expedition #1062 appears right under the quiz.
