This trip through Asia is set at Hard. The 12 questions come in three legs — Bigger or smaller (3 questions), then Name the country (4 questions), then Find the country (5 questions) — and visit 15 countries in all.
- The size leg is 3 population duels: which of two countries has more people?
- In the naming leg 4 countries light up on the map and you choose each name from four.
- In the map leg you tap 5 countries; a miss shows the right one and how far away you were.
Hard skips the easiest quarter of the region and offers the nearest neighbours as wrong answers; on flags, the most similar-looking ones too.
If you joined the stops capital to capital, in the order the questions bring them, the dashed line would be 56,280 km long, with 14 hops between 15 stops.
Tips from the window seat
- Bigger or smaller: Do not trust the map for area: flat maps distort sizes.
- Name the country: If the close view confuses you, zoom out once and look at the whole region.
- Find the country: Read the distance after a miss: it tells you how close you were.
After the landing
Finish the third leg and the expedition is stamped in your passport; the button for expedition #1126 appears right under the quiz.
