This trip through North and Central America is set at Hard. The 15 questions come in three legs — Capitals (5 questions), then Find the country (6 questions), then Name the country (4 questions) — and visit 15 countries in all.
- The capitals leg alternates: 5 questions, country to capital and back again.
- In the map leg you tap 6 countries; a miss shows the right one and how far away you were.
- In the naming leg 4 countries light up on the map and you choose each name from four.
The Hard setting is for people who know the region: no easy countries, and every wrong option sits right next to the right one.
The full route, drawn from capital to capital as the questions come, measures 23,200 km: 14 hops in all.
Tips from the window seat
- Capitals: If two cities sound right, think of which country each one belongs to.
- Find the country: Before tapping, find a neighbour you are sure of and work from there.
- Name the country: If the close view confuses you, zoom out once and look at the whole region.
After the landing
Finish the third leg and the expedition is stamped in your passport; the button for expedition #1122 appears right under the quiz.
