On expedition #1039 you cross World at the Hard level. The route has 16 stops spread over 13 questions in three legs: Flags (6 questions), Name the country (4 questions) and finally Bigger or smaller (3 questions).
- The flags leg alternates between naming a flag and picking one: 6 questions and 15 different flags.
- In the naming leg 4 countries light up on the map and you choose each name from four.
- The size leg mixes 3 duels on people and on land.
At the Hard level the obvious countries are left out and the wrong options are close neighbours of the right one, or, for flags, the closest look-alikes.
Capital to capital, in question order, the route covers 85,050 km over 15 hops.
Tips from the window seat
- Flags: Look for the small details: a star, a crescent, an emblem.
- Name the country: Count the neighbours you recognise around the yellow shape.
- Bigger or smaller: Do not trust the map for area: flat maps distort sizes.
After the landing
